What is the compositon of molecular sieve 5A?

What is the compositon of molecular sieve 5A?

What is the compositon of molecular sieve 5A?

(OP)
Does any one know about the molecular sieve composition affecting the absorption ability?
The following data of 5A sieve from serching on the web:
0.80 CaO : 0.20 Na2O : 1 Al2O3: 2.0 ± 0.1 SiO2: x H2O
Does this mean I should get about 20 wt% of Ca ?
I'm interested in the absorption ability affecting by the Ca cation?
What is the tolarance of Cadium in 5A sieve?

hazel:

Unless one is in the business of manufacturing Mol Sieves, one doesn't really care about their composition.  We are more interested in their physical and sorptivity properties and their needs for reactivation (regeneration) in order to apply them properly to the Unit Operation of Adsorption.

You should direct your specific concerns to your Mol Sieve supplier or manufacturer.  They are the experts.
