(OP)
I am a EIT and had worked in a residential structural engineering firm for a year. I found that I am kind of weak in " connection", "details or drawing review" and roof fraimg. Can anybody suggest a book for me as a reference to improve the aove skills?

RE: Books recommend

A subscription to the monthly Journal of Light Construction magthis is a must for anyone working in residential.  They also have a CD of past issues.  There are also several books advertised in it such as the JLC Field Guide.

The optimist sees the glass as half full.  The pessimist sees the glass as half empty.  The engineer see the glass as too big.

SlideRuleEra:

There should be a special place for civil engineers who have Trautwine's book copyrighted in 1937.

Thank you for your input into this forum.

RE: Books recommend

Thanks, smwpe - Wish I still had that copy of Trautwine. Was "horrified" when I discovered that it had been accidentally tossed in the trash.
