Hi,

Does anyone know whether 25CrMo4 Nuts and Bolts are relatively easy to get hold of in the UK? My fastner supplier tells me he has not heard of this grade.

Thanks

RE: 25CrMo4 Nuts and Bolts

You do not say if the required thread is metric or inch. A lot of aerospace nuts and bolts in France are made of AFNOR 25CD4 which is another designation for 25CrMo4. However these are all to metric standards. Try www.alcoa.com as Alcoa Fastening Systems have a distributorship in UK.

4130 is a pretty good match in terms of chemical analysis and much more readily available in the UK
