Insert a CAD drawing into a MS-Word documents
Insert a CAD drawing into a MS-Word documents
(OP)
Gentlemen!
I have problem when inserting a CAD drawing into a Microsoft word document. Either I do it with Insert Object menues or by copy clipboard and paste method, the properties of the lines,i.e. their thickness is lost. Even worse, the dimensions are not correctly transfered into the word document. When I print the document, the lines have the same thickness and dimension texts are missing.
Any information or guide to correct such problems are highly and sincerely appreciated.

then on file dropdown click export
when prompted select image and text etc. and hit return
when prompted save as.......
then in windows click insert/picture/from file on the file dropdown and browse for picture name(extension is .wmf)

Another way of doing this with high quality is to plot the drawing to an EPS-file (Encapsulated PostScript).
And then import it into your Word document. Linetypes are all as you want them to and it's not rough as it can be if you save it as an image.
You got to have a printer that handels PostScript though. But I guess that's not a big problem today :)
Hope this helps
