Hole Wizard Bug?

Hole Wizard Bug?

Hole Wizard Bug?

(OP)
SW2005 SP1.1

I created four M8 tapped holes using Hole Wizard tool. Later on I changed the holes to clearance holes for M8 (dia 9.0 mm). The holes changed all right but cosmetic thread was left on each hole in both graphic area and feature manager. I think this is a bug, can someone replicate it please?

RE: Hole Wizard Bug?

It works here just fine(SW2005 sp1.1).

RE: Hole Wizard Bug?

I had a hole wizard bug. I sent the problem to my VAR and they could not figure it out. Solidworks is supposed to be working on it now. If anybody wants the file to look at, let me know.

RE: Hole Wizard Bug?

Is this a permanent problem?  If you close the file, close SW, then reopen the file in SW, can you still see the cosmetic thread?  If not, it might be residue left in RAM or on your graphics card.  If so, it's probably a bug.

RE: Hole Wizard Bug?

We had the problem of changing from a Tapped Hole to C'Sink that the Bitmap of the thread would stay. But SW has fixed that bug to my knowledge.  I did a Tapped Hole and switched it to a C'Bore today and everything was ok.
