WWR designations & charts

WWR designations & charts

WWR designations & charts

(OP)
Does anyone know where I can find a good online resource for explaining welded wire reinforcing designations and spec information?  I have a small SOG, but I don't want to use rolled WWR for obvious QC reasons.

Thanx in advance.

RE: WWR designations & charts

Just call out W6x6-2.0x2.0 flat sheets

RE: WWR designations & charts

I dont know an online source but Im sure a lot of people have a table. Post the area of wire per sq. ft. you want to spec and we can give you the designation.

RE: WWR designations & charts

this brings up an interesting question that i have meaning to ask. i don't think it is off topic.

6X6 w2.0Xw2.0 is listed in the chart slideruleera listed above and in my aci 318. Now i specified that a couple times and the contractor came back and told me they could only get 6X6X w2.1Xw2.1 which is not listed in the charts.

now i went back to some references my boss had from 20 years ago and he had crossed out the 2.0X2.0 and replaced it with 2.1X2.1 and many drawings we have use this.

i am confused that what is in the chart is not what people can get

anyone help with this?

RE: WWR designations & charts

Ive never seen or heard of 2.1x2.1. I was trained by an older engineer and we used to still spec it as 66-1010 or 66-88 and I still spec using the old designations out of habit and Ive never had a question.
