GLYCOL TEMPERATURE & HYDRAULICS: What is the optimum operating temperature for CITGO Glycol FR-40XD when used as a hydraulic fluid in an elevator sysem? It is a water-glycol type of fire-resistant fluid formulated with diethylene glycol.

In sec. 7 it is clearly stated: Avoid extreme temperatures. Operating temperatures should be maintained as low as possible and should not exceed 66 deg C. There is no menitiong of a lower temperature but the freezing point is -30 deg C (sec 9)

I'm still looking for some good idea to reduce the evaporation rate or to recover the vapor (condenser? filter?) If you have some good idea please let me know.
