89 Newcastle Earthquake

89 Newcastle Earthquake

89 Newcastle Earthquake

(OP)
I'm having some difficulty tracking down acceleration records from the 89 Newcastle Earthqake in Australia.

I've tried searching through NGDC's site, PEER, COSMOS, etc but was unsucessful in locating data for Newcastle.

Would anyone know of a good source for corrected acceleration data from the earthquake?  Many thanks in advance.

RE: 89 Newcastle Earthquake

A Google search for "Newcastle Earthquake 1989" gave me NSW Mineral Resources. (Google gave 5,500 hits in 0.19 sec on the topic) I then searched the NSW Mineral Resources site with "corrected acceleration data" and found what you are looking for but it looks like you'll have to buy the publication.

Good luck
