Assembly Origin
Assembly Origin

How can I change the origin of an assembly?
When I want to do a cut view in the one Im working (extruded 80x30mm tube) I have to move almost 80mm to cut the piece at mid section.
Thanks!

RE: Assembly Origin
You can always add a plane at the point you want to cut.
One of the parts in your assembly probably has a fix contraint. Switch this to float. Now, you can move your assembly about. I strongly suggest you restore the fix contraint when you are done.

RE: Assembly Origin
There is no need to move origin. Parts and assemblies in real world have neither origin nor "Top/Front/Right" planes. When you do detailing in drawings, you should not touch models.
