Need to Pick Your Brains Wiring up a 415v Motor

Need to Pick Your Brains Wiring up a 415v Motor

(OP)
Hi,

I want to wire up the following motor:
Power:0.75Kw
Drive:DOL ThermistorProtection:No
Manu:Grundos Voltage:415v
Freq:50Hz
StartingCurrent:11 to12 amps
RunningCurrent: 1.9Amps
Area Classification: safe

The pump will be controlling the filling of a tank with a low level switch @24v.

Could someone knock up a drawing of the connections of this motor including switches, fuses, contactor, overload and there ratings.

Thanks

If you need a drawing for this, you should not be near 415V equipment. Pay an electrician to wire it for you.

rbulsara's advice needs to be taken seriously.  There are life-safety issues involved here that ought not be taken lightly or with less than adequate experience.

I take it you two cannot draw, if anyone else can supply a drawing I would be most grateful, if not please dont put anymore useless comments.

I could knock up (???) a drawing but then you would reject it as "useless comments" anyway. So ....

Wow! This guy already admits that he doesn't know what he is doing, but has the gall to ask someone to go out of their way to make a drawing, publish it to a website, and then post it here for free so that he can avoid paying a professional to do it right? Then he criticizes posters who won't oblige his cheapness?

warriorwarren, please don't mistake our responses for haughtiness or plain obstinacy.  We, on this forum try very hard to be accommodating and helpful.

The problem with your post is that is appears that you are placing yourself and possibly your co-workers into a potentially dangerous situation and we don't want to contribute to that.

415V three phase power is more than lethal from an electrical shock standpoint.  A short circuit or ground fault can spray molten metal all around with the potential to blind if not burn.

Another problem some of us may have detected is in the data you supplied us.  Consider this:  At 415V three phase and 1.9Amps you will have input watts equalling
     415 x 1.732 x 1.9 = 1366 watts

Your data says this is a .75kw or 750w motor.  You can see that, either this is an extremely inefficient motor or you have the data wrong.

For your own sake, if you please, take our advice as well-intended and seek some local help in wiring this motor.
