DWG Editor Help FIles

(OP)
For anyone using the DWG Editor, the recent 1.1 SP for SolidWorks has disabled the internal link inside the DWG Editor to activate the help files when you click help.

I spoke to tech support today, and they acknowledge the problem, and are fixing it in the next SP.  For now their work around is to create a desktop shortcut to the help files, which are there just not accesable from inside the editor.

Here is the file path:

< your solidworks root dir> \dwgeditor\lang\english\help\dwgeditor.chm

Hope this helps.

RE: DWG Editor Help FIles

You can correct the registry entry
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\solidworks\solidworks 2005\DWGEditor\Profiles\Default\Config\Help with the correct path.

(careful editing your registry! Don't do it if you're not experienced!)

Regards
