WORKING IN PAPERSPACE

WORKING IN PAPERSPACE

WORKING IN PAPERSPACE

(OP)
I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT WORKING IN PAPERSPACE. IN MODEL I HAVE ALL THE POINT IN MY JOB BUT WHEN I SWITCH TO PAPERSPACE THE POINTS ARE STILL THERE BUT THERE ARE NO SYMBOLS OR NUMBERS. I CAN'T SEE THE POINTS. SO DID I SWITCH SOMETHING IN MY DRAWING?

RE: WORKING IN PAPERSPACE

Did you make a viewport in paper space?  MVIEW on the command line...

RE: WORKING IN PAPERSPACE

(OP)
YEAH I HAVE A VIEWPORT. I HAVE ALL MY LINES AND EVERYTHING BUT THE POINTS AND THE SYMBOLS FOR THOSE POINTS

RE: WORKING IN PAPERSPACE

OK I'll ask the next question.....
Are any layers frozen in the viewport?  Use Layer Manager in the viewport, or type "vplayer" "?"

RE: WORKING IN PAPERSPACE

...and I'll state the obvious...

You said the pts are there, you just can't see the symbols or numbers.

Both indicate your viewport scale is just to large for these items to be seen.

The symbols could be an easy fix: Under Format, Point Style (or _ddptype command), increase point size.

The numbers are going to require rescaling as well.

The problem with both solutions is if you want to show a smaller scale (zoomed in), both will be so huge they will look wierd.

Remember: The Chinese ideogram for “crisis” is comprised of the characters for “danger” and “opportunity.”
