Navy welding spec?

Navy welding spec?

Navy welding spec?

(OP)
Does anyone know where I can find a copy of a welding spec Navy PW-2? It's on a drawing that was created in 1953 and I can't find a copy anywhere. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Navy welding spec?

What is the welding for? There maybe a newer MIL-STD that covers the same welding type. Navy PW-2 sounds like a company welding process.

RE: Navy welding spec?

Another Question:

Was the drawing one prepared by a shipyard?   They will typically list their version of welding requirements, which in turn should be qualified to Navy requirements.

Also, the Navy does not currently have specific welding procedures.  Instead, the Navy has requirements for the qualification of a user's specific procedures.

Regardless, the "PW-2" mentioned above does not ring a bell.
