level shifting over a range
level shifting over a range
(OP)
Hi
Stupid question I think. But I have a torque transducer which out a voltage range of +/1V I need to make this into a range between 0 V to 5V its seems level shifters will only multiply an i/p voltage by a fixed amount based on your choice of resister - not a range of amounts like I want for my application. Maybe using a ADC followed by a DAC
could be a better solution seems long winded though??!

RE: level shifting over a range
You will find a collection of circuits that can be modified to do what you want.
RE: level shifting over a range
If you are just looking for something to put that 0-1 signal into and get 0-5 out of, try here http://www.actionio.com/
They have a signal conditioner that takes down to 10mV with 0-5 out. It is a AP4380-2000.
They might have something else more appropriate for your application but, it's a start.
hope it helps
