I need to work out the £ per cubic metre (+10% profit margin) for the following:
EXCAVATOR data:
180 degree output 50cu m/hr
costs including operator = £600 per/day
Lorries: 10 cubic metre capacity. Cost including driver = £300 per/day
SITE data: 5000 cubic metre excavated. Haul distance is 4kl at average speed of 30km/hr. lorry loading time 12 minutes and tipping time 4 minutes.  Tipping charge £2 per cubic metre.  Bulking factor for material expected to be 25%.

RE: Excavation Rate

So do it. Use the education you have to do the math.

RE: Excavation Rate

6250    m^3    625    lorries
125    hrs.    0.53    hr./lorry
15.625    days    331.25    hrs.
£9,375        £24,922

Total    £37,727

Cost     £6.04    per m^3
