how to make a tube from a strip?

how to make a tube from a strip?

(OP)
Hi there,

Is there the possibility in SolidWorks to transform a strip into a tube?
e.g. i have a stip which has the width = 40mm and thickness=2mm. I would like to see the edges of the strip when it will get a round shape lets say around 270degree

Thanks,

RE: how to make a tube from a strip?

Best way I know (but backwards from what you are asking):

Start with the curve. You can dim the length as an arclength - in dim select the curve, then each endpoint.  Then use sheetmetal Base-Flange.  You will then be able to flatten and get the strip
