Tedlar Film Removal

Tedlar Film Removal

Tedlar Film Removal

(OP)
Trying to remove Tedlar film Coating From A CFM56 Fan Outlet Guide Vane (Dupont TTY 40 BE 5). We have tryed to remove using plastic blast media, but find it extremely time consuming, and there is a chance of damaging the Kevlar substrate. Have also tryed soaking the part in MEK, but this also did not help to soften the film.

Anybody?
Best Regards

RE: Tedlar Film Removal

Have you checked with Cytec Engineered Materials in Havre de Grace, Maryland?  They are the Tedlar manufacturers.
