I have a co-worker that since he upgraded to Win SP2, he gets the following pop-up window msg everytime he opens SolidWorks 2005 SP1.1:

Internet Explorer Script Error
Line: 682
Char: 2
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: file://C:\Program FIles\SolidWorks (2)
     \data\welcomepage\welcome.html
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

Has anyone seen this? I have had no support/help on this.
thanks

RE: Open SW error

ctopher ... I don't know what would have caused that error, but the "script error" messages can be turned off in Internet Explorer.
Tool > Internet options > Advanced, under the Browser section, place a checkmark against Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other)] and uncheck Display a notification about every script error.

& all the best.
