Carbon Fiber Molds for violins parts

Carbon Fiber Molds for violins parts

(OP)
Hello, I am a Luthier and will be interested to make fingerboard, tailpieces, nut, peg, chin rest, shoulder rest for violin, viola and cello out of carbon fiber.
Could someone guide me regarding choice of materials but as well on how to proceed?
Thank you, Frederic

RE: Carbon Fiber Molds for violins parts

First, learn to make those parts out of glass- fiber reinforced epoxy resin.

Then, change the reinforcement, or at least the outermost layers of it, to carbon fiber fabric.

Thank you very much for your help Mike.
I'll post again when I'm done practicing with fiber-glass.
