Looking for network minimum requirements

Looking for network minimum requirements

Looking for network minimum requirements

(OP)
I did a search of the FAQ and the network related items were from a few years ago so I wanted to get more up to date information about the minimum requirements for the network environment & SolidWorks.  We are currently running 2 servers. One that is running Windows 2000 Small Business Server.  This is where the Sequel Server software is located.  The other is running Windows 2003 Server.  This is where the DBWorks Database is located.  All seats of SolidWorks are installed on local machines with the VAULT on the network server.  I think we are good as far as the machines go:  Dell 340 Workstations, P4, 2.4 Ghz, 1024 MB RAM, Win XP Pro (5.1), SP 1.0, NVidia Quadro FX500.  With all this said, suggestions are welcome as to the network configurations or machines to boost performance through the roof.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

RE: Looking for network minimum requirements

What version & service pack of SW are you running?

Is there a reason you are not running XP/SP2?

& all the best.

We are running SW 2004.  We were told by our VAR that running SW2004 and Windows SP 2.0 is not recommended.  SW2005 will be coming to us at the end of March.
Thanks
