Sloted Hole
Sloted Hole
(OP)
What is the proper way to label a sloted hole on my drawing?
When was the last time you drove down the highway without seeing a commercial truck hauling goods?

RE: Sloted Hole
I have got to heckle Heckler on this one. I reject every drawing that crosses under my red pen dimensioned this way.
The slot width is the same as the diameter (not radius) of the end arcs, anyhow. Dimensioning the radius of the end arc is worse than useless.
Dimension a slot the same way a toolmaker will check it, width by length. Do this either with two separate dimensions or with a single note.
To make a single note, go to the part and make a custom property for the dimension note. You can add dimensions to properties by clicking visible dimensions when the custom property editor is active. Then use the custom property in a note in the drawing.
