220v track light

220v track light

220v track light

(OP)
I'm in search of a track light fixture which will be used in a product that is shipped to European markets, and having no luck at all finding anything.

I've asked the manufacturer of a track light we're using for the domestic version of the product if they have a light rated for 220 and have yet to receive an answer.  Exhaustive web searches have turned up nothing.  Does anyone have a source they could point me to which might help me find what I'm looking for?

Thanks,
Dave Gowans

RE: 220v track light

Track lights work on a bus bar configuration, so it would seem that the conductor is probably OK for the higher voltage, but you might want to check the bulb attachments/sockets for compatibility with Euro-bulbs.

Buy a track light and wire it up to 220v.  See what happens.

This site sells lots of track lighting products for the uk -perhaps you can contact one of the mfrs of the products listed here.
