Hi Fellow
Quick question. For the timber weatherboard clad frame, with timber strip for the internal wall. Is it the carcks in the timber strip is most likely cause by weathering then ground movement? Because in my thinking, any movement from the foundation will cause the timber strip split in the joint location. Is it right? Where can find some provement.

Thank you for your help

Marco

RE: timber weatherboard clad frame

From your description I wouldn't want to guess the probable cause, but splitting can also be due to shrinkage caused by reduction of the timber's moisture content.

hi
The main thing I concern here is that, will any foundation movement cause the timber strip crack? they are horizontal hand cut strip.
Thanks
