fretting

(OP)
Hi,
I am doing a contact analysis of a riveted joint. From literature, most failures in joint arise from fretting fatigue due to slip of the contacting surfaces. I am not clear about this from the manual, but if anyone has any advice about this I would really appreviate it. What parameters should I look at to see if fretting can take place in the model or to put it more easily what parameters should I see to get the relative tangential displacement between the contact components?. Is the CSLIP paramater that shows contact slip or normal displacement parameters?
Thanks
harry
