Looking for US and UK codes for design of steel frame used for road transport of high pressure nitrogen and oxygen gas cylinders.

Check with the United States Code of Federal Regulations - specifically under Department of Transportation (DOT). The NBIC has a subcommittee that is incorporating DOT rules on inspection, repair and alteration activities related to transport tanks.

If you are concerned with the large 22" dia cylinder (DOT 3AAX) transport here is a failure report that will give you some leads.

The trailers that I’ve seen all used tubular, rectangle, construction.
