ventilation

(OP)
hi everybody
im working out in ventilation for a turbine room, whose temperature is 5*c greater than the ambient(32*c).is it ok to fix the turbine ventilators @15 AC

RE: ventilation

Rather than fixing an airchange,I would suggest you to calculate the airflow requirement based on the heat emission from the turbine.

Heat emission in Kw= air flow(m3/s)x1.2(specific heat) X1.02(density)x5 (Temperature rise)

If you do not have turbine heat emission data, you may assume an efficiency of around 30%
and claculate the heat output based on the turbine out put.

RE: ventilation

The turbine generator heat emmission with the turbine in the space and the generator generated power out of the space would be:

Heat emmission = (1/Eff-1)x Kw output = (1/.3-1)x kw output

But you should add all other heat gains into the space such as:
. lights
. all other heat gain from other equipment in the space
. fan heat = kw/eff since fan & supply air would go to the space
. solar & transmission heat gain to the space
. people heat
You may want to add more cooling to improve the efficiency of the turbine.
