GIS and Value Engineering

(OP)
Hi all
I'm working in GIS, and I'm new to the value engineering concept … can any one give me some idea about using value engineering in GIS.

Regards,

RE: GIS and Value Engineering

Sorry, but... when searching for "GIS", http://www.acronymfinder.com/ returned me 37 meanings... which is the one you refer to?

And what do you mean for "value engineering "? Which is the relation with Valve Engineering?

Many thanks in advance,               'NGL

Hi
I mean geographic information System (GIS).
Value engineering is eliminating the unnecessary cost without reducing the quality, that what I understand value engineering.

WaterGIS-

This is the valve engineering forum. You know, those things that start and stop and regulate flow in (usually) pipes.

Not the value engineering forum.

watergis

you might try posting this question in the civil / environmental engineering forum - as value engineering is used quite extensively in the public works arena.  you will need to provide additional information as to what you are planning to do with the GIS.

RE: GIS and Value Engineering

WaterGIS,
you can also try on Forum768 (Engineering Project Management Forum).

Bye,               'NGL
