Help with Autocad 3d modelling error?

Help with Autocad 3d modelling error?

Help with Autocad 3d modelling error?

(OP)
Hi

Does anyone know what this error means:

"Modeling Operation Error:
Coincident face_face_ints with different body vertices."

I seem to be getting this in my 3d models & I'm not sure why?  I'm running Autocad 2004 with Cadworx 2005 (piping &  steel program).

Thanks!

Lee

RE: Help with Autocad 3d modelling error?

From Autodesk...

Issue

The following error occurs after importing a step file using the STEPIN command:

    Modeling Operation Error:

Coincident face_face_ints with different body vertices

Note: This procedure may take a long time to complete.

   1. Use the EXPLODE command to convert the part to an AutoCAD 3D solid.
   2. On the command line, type amstitch and press ENTER.
   3. Select the 3D solid.
   4. In the Surface Stitching dialog box, under Stitch Type, select Custom Stitching.
   5. In the Operation area, select Heal gaps.
   6. Choose OK.

Hi Borgunit,

Thanks for help, but those commands that you have to me to use seem to not work?  it just say's "unknown command" ?
maybe you have a different version of autocad?
I currently have 2004 version?

I apologize, you would need to have the import add ons or have AutoCAD Mechanical to see those commands.
