Does anyone have some advice on how to get away from using a PIC device to communicate with my SLC 500's I have mostly 5/02's. The problem I have is, the PIC clogs up my Com 1 port. If I try to use DF1, I have to manually update my com port.
Thanks

RE: AB 1747-PIC

There are several ways of getting around the 1747-PIC:
For Desktop pc's the 1784-PKTX (for a PCI slot)and the 1784-KTX (for a ISA slot.)  For your notebook a 1784-PCMK will work.

Thanks Steve, I do have the PCMK, but I cannot find the drivers for it, can you point me in the right direction?

RE: AB 1747-PIC

Add the driver 1784-KT in RSLinx

RE: AB 1747-PIC

The driver is included in RSLinx.  In the configure drivers window of RSLinx, where you added the PIC box, select the 1784-KT (to the right of that you will see your pcmk listed along with other cards).
