Calculate Pull out Force from Masonry Wall

Calculate Pull out Force from Masonry Wall

Calculate Pull out Force from Masonry Wall

(OP)
Does anybody  know of a textbook, internet links or pdf documents that deal with examples to investigate pull-out capacity of a steel anchor into a clay masonry or concrete wall?.

Thanks

RE: Calculate Pull out Force from Masonry Wall

See Hilti's literature/web site.
Clay tile will probably require a screen tube inserted into the masonry and then the anchor.

Also check ACI 318, Appendix D.  This gives criteria for anchor design and performance.

As for the investigation of such, it is a simple load-pullout test.  This can be done with a dedicated "Pullout testing device" or can be done with a calibrated center-pull hydraulic jack centered over the anchor and resting on an annular pipe ring to isolate from the anchor.
