UDF Move

UDF Move

UDF Move

(OP)
I am attempting to reposition a UDF and it is failing.  I can move it from point to point with no problem but when I move it axis to axis the extrude in the UDF fails.  I am using Move Feature for the attempt.  Does anyone have a way to rotate a UDF?

RE: UDF Move

I was fooling with UDF's a while back and ran into a similar problem. It is my understanding that in the part that defines the UDF any extrude features need to have an associative direction (associated to a datum axis for example) rather than absolute direction. I fiddled some more but never got it to work the way I wanted, then things got busy and the UDF was forgotten about.

Sorry that I don't have a full answer but maybe that will get you in the right direction (no pun intended). If you figure it out (or if anyone else knows) I'd also find it very useful.

cowski,

I was about to answer my own question when I came back to only discover that you had already answered it.  I did just that, I created a datum axis, used it for my extrude and taper directions and no problem.

Thanks for you help.
