ACAD 2005 Issues

ACAD 2005 Issues

ACAD 2005 Issues

(OP)
I have upgraded from ACAD 2000i to ACAD 2005 (w/Inventor9) and primarily work from 2005 (2d).  I have run across a few issues that I havent been able to find and answer for.

1.  2005 added a feature so that dimensions can not be picked to keep the workspace cleaner and truer.  As a result on some drawings (some work, some dont) you can not pick points on these lines to check measured length or to line up additional dimnsions w/o using grips.  Any way to disable this feature?

2.  I have run into an issue with the properties box not working.  At first it worked correctly.  Then some time after windows service pack 2 (or another update since) any time I tried to access properties box, I would egt a Fatal Error.  After picking up the latest ACAD patch, now when it used to show the box, it was a horizontal 1 line box.  Since that time now it doesnt even show up on screen (though it does work on something, no box appears).  Autodesk suggests dropping SPack 2, which obviosly is an issue unto its self.

3. Has anyone found a way to save off page setups into ACAD its self so that I can always print a certain type of drawing with same plotter/pens/paper/plot area/ect.. into ACAD its self to easily access them for publishing?

Thank you very much for any input.  I am glad to finally find a potential source of sharing ACAD knowledge.
