Use existing sketch for Hole Wizard?

Use existing sketch for Hole Wizard?

Use existing sketch for Hole Wizard?

(OP)
I think I know the answer to this (no), but can you preselect an existing sketch to use with the Hole Wizard--a sketch that includes points?  If no, I may submit an enhancement request.

From my limited experience with Inventor, I know that you can do it in there, and you can even select line/arc endpoints as hole locations--they don't have to be sketched points (that's about all I liked in Inventor).

Thanks,

Brian

RE: Use existing sketch for Hole Wizard?

You are correct ... the answer is no, but you can use the geometry in an existing sketch to position the new points for the HW.

& all the best.

I did know that you can do that... I'm not sure that I'd use it much.  It creates another parent-child relationship.  I'd sooner just put the extra geometry in the hole sketch.

Thanks for the quick response!

Brian
