Cannot find in Outlook Express help. Google search brought up 35x10^6 but show editing for everything but.  OK so I only looked at the first listing but 35x10^6 is a little daunting -- no?

yeah I know this is pretty low tech but have a heart --eh?

And yes it has got to be staring me dead in the face but sometimes I am just totally blind and therefore have all these snake bites.

RE: Edit a contact in Outlook Express

Outlook Express does not use Contacts, only the Address Book, which is accessed from Tools on the menu

It is true that in "Outlook" one must go to Tools to access Address Book.  In "Outlook Express," you can access Address Book directly from the menu or via Tools.  Either way when one punches New, it gives a choice of New Contact, New Group, or New Folder.

Then there is the choice of Shared Contacts or Main Identity's(not my spelling -- theirs) Contacts.

So now I have numerous so-called "contacts."  How can I edit data, e.g. email address for a particular contact which is already in the Address Book or must I simply delete and retype all the info?

RE: Edit a contact in Outlook Express

Select the contact and right-click for Properties

I had tried that before but there was no edit feature.  OK this time I pushed the Name Tab and eureka there is an edit feature on that window.  I knew it had to be a dumb oversight.

Thanks IRstuff
