Monochrome Plotting

Monochrome Plotting

Monochrome Plotting

(OP)
You will have to excuse my ignorance as I am not as experienced with AutoCAD as I would like to be.  I get to do a little electrical drafting now and then.  We just upgraded from AutoCAD 2004 to 2005.  I like most of the features in 2005, but one plotting element has me a little confused.

In AutoCAD 2004 I was able to choose the "monochrome.ctb" (I believe that to be the name) during the plotting process, and my plots came out black and white (not grayscale).  I notice this tab has disappeared in 2005, and I am left to choose all my plot options soley in the destination printer.  When I plot an 11 X 17, I am forced into grayscale because I do not have a trueblack option on that printer.  My plotter has a trueblack option and therefore I can obtain my desired results.

Any thoughts?  Thanks!

RE: Monochrome Plotting

monochrome is still a selection in the plot dialog, in the upper right.  See it?  PlotStyleTable ??

RE: Monochrome Plotting

If the little arrow on lower right is pointing to the right, it can expand the dialog for more options.

RE: Monochrome Plotting

borgunit has probably identified your problem.  I too thought the .ctb selection was gone when I got 2005.  I was so confused I called our AutoCAD director.  She said, "it's still there", I said "no, it's not".  Then she told me what borgunit just said.

It seems like I have to relearn ACAD with each release, but things do get easier to do, so I guess that's good.
