reinforcing bar positioner requirement

I keep hearing reinforcing bar positioners for masonry mentioned in the ACI 350, but cannot find them anywhere, and I am unable to find any refrence to them in the new 2003 IBC. Anyone tell me where the requirement is?

RE: reinforcing bar positioner requirement

ACI 530.1 Section 3.4 states that rebar shall be secured as to "prevent displacement beyond the tolerances allowed".  The corresponding commentary section shows some typical rebar positioners.  I don't see where a spacing requirement is given, but we specify a maximum spacing of 200 bar diameters.

Yes, but the new 2003 IBC states somewhere 112 bar diameters.
