System instability with Solidworks
System instability with Solidworks
(OP)
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I have been having alot of trouble with the stability of the Solidworks 2005 software on my machine. The computer is an HP Pavilion a-450-n. P4 3 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 1 Gig RAM, ATI Fire gl X2 Video card. Win XP Pro for an OS. Solid works seems to run choppy when there is a complex feature (like a swept profile along a helix). It also crashes out while I'm using the design library Toolbox (intermittently). I have the latest service pack and windows xp is completely up to date. Is there any conflicting software out there that interferes with Solidworks? Improper Windows system configuration? If someone has some advice i would really appreciate it!
Thanks!
Marc
