Anyone out here familiar with ZigBee

Yes...I know the basics  (802.15.4) and what it does, etc

Have more questions about the mesh network, the coordinator, the slaves and how they know WHO to talk to...

RE: ZigBee users/experts

Zigbee is a wireless communication protocol like bluetooth right?  The only experience that I have had with that is through some of the Zigbee functions built into certain Microchip PICs.  If you are looking to build a circuit using Zigbee you could start there for a microcontroller.

Which chips have 'built-in' ZigBee functions?  I know they have the 18F series and the free Zstack, is that what you meant?

RE: ZigBee users/experts

Freescale (Motorola) is pushing Zigbee very hard.  Go see their web site.  There's also zigbee.org where you can get some docs, but they are not a non-profit organization.
