Very Basic Question: How to create a threaded rod
(OP)
Hi, I need to know how to create a threaded rod in Solidworks. I have designed a guide bracked in solidworks and need to represent a threaded rod (stud) that is welded to the center of the bracket. The rod needs to have 1/4-20 threads and nuts attached. I have done the tutorials and I am familiar with how to add nuts from the toolbox, but i cant figure out how to create the threaded rod. I'm sorry to ask such a basic question, but hopefully someone will be willing to help. Thank you!

If you want to model true helix-based threads, read Thread559-113210 for some pointers.
