Print Macro

Print Macro

(OP)
Has anybody seen a print macro that will allow you to put in an assembly and it will automatically print all the individual parts that belong to the Top Level. I have searched the forum and even searched around on the internet, and was not able to find any reference to a macro that will attempt this.

Thanks,

Jon,

I may have confused you with the earlier post. What I want to do is put in a top level assy and have each of the component drawings to be printed out that belong to the top level drawing. I have not seen a macro that will do this. The link you provided is great and has some other macros that may be handy. If you need further clarification let me know.

Thanks,

RE: Print Macro

A macor like you want would have to be customizable.  Do the drawings have the same name as the component contained in the assembly?  Are the drawing files saved in the same folder as the components?  What printer do you want to print to?  Are all the drawings on the same size paper or would the macro have to determine that.  Do you print everthing full size or do you do like the company I work for and reduce D, E, A1 and A0 to half size.  Not that I have a macro that will do this.  I was just curious as to what you were looking for.

RE: Print Macro

SW has a batch print application that has the code avail. You have to download it from the model site within their page. You will probably need to run a search on it to fine it.

RE: Print Macro

The program Scott mentions is a starting point.  It is not set up to do what you want but as an example of how to print a list of drawings of various sheet sizes.
