Distillation TiCl4 and SiCl4

(OP)
i am currently designing a distillation column for the separation of titanium tetrachloride from silicon tetrachloride.i think packed columns are more suitable due to corrosion problems but i am having trouble finding suitable packing materials.

can anyone recommend where i can get info on the type of columns that are currently being used in industry.

thank you for your help

Check with Sulzer Chemtech or Koch-Glitch.   Both companies can provide you with information on different packings and designs. I doubt that they will choose a packing for you, liability being what it is these days.

160382,
if your column is not too big you may consider ceramic, porcelain or glass packing. All are available as random packing, ceramic and glass as structured packing too. Efficiency may not be terribly high, but you will solve your biggest problem, and that is corrosion.
