Help setting up a .dws file in Autocad 2004

(OP)
Is there a way that I can set up a .dws file that will not give a user the option of ignoring a standards violation?  We have problems here with people creating all kinds of crazy layers and then complaining when it shows up on their plots because it isn't defined in the manager.  Thanks

RE: Help setting up a .dws file in Autocad 2004

We have issues with this also. While you cannot force users to do anything, we use a screening process when files are "released to production". If the files do not meet the "rules", they are bounced back. I have also put in place a "save routine" that takes care of our most common mistakes. I hope this helps a little. We use the layer converter with the DWS file also BTW.
