BOM referencing cut length

BOM referencing cut length

BOM referencing cut length

(OP)
i'm trying to estimate assembly time, and we have rates for assembly of pipe as a function of cut length. is there a way to reference cut length in a custom property in the design table to output to a BOM?

RE: BOM referencing cut length

Any information can be placed, or read, into a custom property & be subsequently called into a BOM.
Reference the SW Help files for custom properties, bill of materials.

eg. in the Text field of the custom properties box, create a "CutLength" property then in the Value click on the length dimension of the actual part. Then add a column in the BOM to read the "CutLength" property.

& all the best.

i know about that, but the cut length isn't a manually adjusted part. i'm using routing, so pipe sections are automatically created, and the cut length is determined automatically, and not actually in the design table.

anyone familiar with routing?
