Section Views don't convert to ACAD

Section Views don't convert to ACAD

Section Views don't convert to ACAD

(OP)
When converting drawings to Autocad which contain section, auxiliary, or other types of views, many views do not convert or only portions do.  Has anyone else experienced this problem.  Is there a fix or trick to eliminate this problem???

RE: Section Views don't convert to ACAD

before converting drawings from autocad make sure that you do a select all and explode all.

It seems to help.

What version and SP are you using?

The problem exists converting from SolidWorks2004(SP4.1) to ACAD Mechanical 2005.  The behaviour is erratic and unpredictable. Some sections convert, others don't.  I have taken SW drawings that contain section views which convert successfully and made minor edits only to discover the sections no longer convert post-edit.  I would then attempt to delete the edits that I made and the drawing will not convert even then.
