telecoms mast analysis software

(OP)

I am doing some product research with a view to purchasing
a software package that will analyze telecom structures and in particular stayed (guyed) masts. The Software would have to be capable of analyzing to the relevant British Standards
(BS 8100). Can anyone make good recommendations in terms of user friendliness, after sales service and of course performance?

RE: telecoms mast analysis software

Space Gass (www.spacegass.com) is a widely used structural analysis and design tool.  It supports catenery cable elements and steelwork design to BS 5950.  For cable elements Space Gass uses a large deflection stiffness matrix to accurately model cable behaviour in structures such as guyed masts or cable nets.

PhoenixP

I strongly recommend MSTOWER program.  Try www.mstower.com.  I have used this package successfully to design a large number of towers and guyed masts.  The software supports Australian standards, EIA standards, BS8100 standards etc.

Good luck.  Regards

AM
