I'm working on a macro to go through about 1900 part files in 150 directories and exporting their design tables to excel files. everything's working fine, but some parts are saved in 2004, and i'm working in 2005, so when the part is opened, i get a message saying it will be converted when saved, and it waits for me to click 'ok'. is there an option in opendoc6 that will suppress this? is there another option i can activate/deactivate to eliminate these messages?

RE: Suppressing Messages

I don't believe there is a command that will give you the ability to suppress those messages. You will have to pick them. I remember looking for some code to do that with a macro I wrote, and I never found any. The user had to click the OK button or the macro would not contniue.

RE: Suppressing Messages

Run the conversion (to SW2005) utility first.

& all the best.

RE: Suppressing Messages

The OpenDoc6 command has an option for opening silent.  Make sure you have swconst.bas module in your project to define constants for swOpenDocOptions_e, and use swOpenDocOptions_Silent in the options.

I could be the world's greatest underachiever, if I could just learn to apply myself.
