RE: blower design

This is clearly going to be an axial flow machine. I presume that this is free delivery?  Then the only pressure rise required is that needed to get discharge velodity. And, with flow given, velocity will be a function of size. What size would you like?

RE: blower design

Me again. I looked at a fan with nozzle outlet diameter of one meter. With flow of 10M3/sec, outlet velocity is 12.73M/s, air power is 972 watts. Assuming a fan dfficiency of 80%, shaft power is 1.215 kw.

For your purposes, you need a rather uniform velocity across the flow. This will neccesitate a fully developed axial flow fan with a well faired inlet, properly designed blades, and a good set of straightening vanes. The straighteners are not needed for energy recovery, but for flow uniformity. An egg crate straightener may also be needed. There may be other complications I have not thought of.

RE: blower design

Wouldn't it be vastly simpler to just buy the appropriate number of fans ready-made?

RE: blower design

Sure.
