Way to drop units in Parts list?

Way to drop units in Parts list?

Way to drop units in Parts list?

(OP)
Is there a way you can tell Solid Edge V16 to drop the units in the part list. For example; the "lbm" (pound-mass)for "Mass".

When constructing a draft file to our Engineering standards, we'd rather not see the units. It also makes the data overrun the block width.

Thanks,
Dominic Greco

RE: Way to drop units in Parts list?

I believe this will work for what you need. Right click on your parts list and then select properties.  That should bring up the "list properties" box.  Click on the Columns tab.  There you will find where you can ADD/REMOVE the columns that you want to show.

You can change the Mass Readout unit in Draft File Properties under Advanced Units Tab. If you change the units from lbm to kg, the numbers in the Parts List for Mass column will change. If SE allows dropping the unit, will you know if it's in kg or lbm?

RE: Way to drop units in Parts list?

If all you want to do is get rid of the lb or kg etc. after the value in the mass column in your parts list you should go to TOOLS > OPTIONS and then select the GENERAL tab of the form.
On there you will find a checkbox called "Display unit of measurement labels".
Uncheck this box, close the form, and update the parts list.
