PhotoWorks bug SW 2005 SP0?

PhotoWorks bug SW 2005 SP0?

PhotoWorks bug SW 2005 SP0?

(OP)
I'm having some strange issues after a reinstall of SW 2005.  I've been waiting for SP 1.0, so haven't bothered installing SP 0.1 yet.

If I select and change the face properties of some surfaces in a model to a differing color and texture (in PhotoWorks), I don't see the results within the SW model window--all the faces remain the same.  However, the surface colors/textures are being applied, because I see the effects when I render.

I used to be able to see the effects within the SW model window without having to render.  My question is:
1.  Is this a PhotoWorks options settings issue?
2.  If not, is this a Service Pack issue?

Yes, this is a PW option.  In the PhotoWorks options dialog you want to check "overwrite SW properties".

This will give you the effect your looking for.

I've got that checked, but no dice.

In fact, the first four options are checked, the next three are not, and the last is checked.  Is there something else I've got set wrong or is this perhaps something solved by SP 0.1?

RE: PhotoWorks bug SW 2005 SP0?

Interesting.  This could be a SP issue.  I went from 2004 straight to 2005 SP0.1 and I'm on SP1.0 EV right now.  This feature is working correctly in both SP0.1 and SP1.0.

Thanks for the reply.  I've got some other buggy things going on with lighting--so maybe I'll reinstall SP 0.1 and try again after that to see if anything changes.
