(OP)
I would like to know if anybody knows of a textbook or design guideline for a reinforced concrete grade beam used to support a steel concentric braced frame building. I am looking at a book that treats the design of the steel braced frame (to comply with IBC 2000) and the author suggests to verify the foundation implications of such frame type, but doesn't address the issue in a detailed manner since "it is beyond the scope of the book".
